Current Weather and Road Conditions

Hi Mountain Lookout is approximately 60 minutes from San Luis Obispo. The road to Hi Mountain is maintained but may be subject to temporary closures due to inclement weather and seasonal conditions, and it includes a creek crossing that may be impassable at times.

The lookout itself is currently closed to visitation. However, visits to the surrounding area are still encouraged when conditions allow. Visitors should check weather and road conditions in advance and be prepared for changing conditions, particularly during the rainy season.
